About Minnesota Urban 4-H Youth Development
Minnesota Urban 4-H Youth Development is a part of the Center for 4-H and Community Youth Development and University of Minnesota Extension. Urban 4-H works on behalf of youth living in Minneapolis, St. Paul and the surrounding suburban communities to measurably improve their learning through educational programs and applied research. Our mission is accomplished with two signature programs: Urban Youth Learn and Urban Youth Lead. Each program is carried out through networks of community partnerships.

Our research-based programs are grounded in best practices designed for urban youth and young people living in at-risk conditions. Our programs provide program leaders and volunteers with skills and resources for building effective learning environments using a youth development process. Our ultimate goal is for urban young people to thrive in their own learning and development.
