Complimentary gate admission tickets are issued (one ticket per person per general encampment for first day admission) for 4-H state fair participants who are listed on the validation/registration report.  Livestock Exhibitors do not recieve an admission ticket since all livestock need to be on the grounds before the State Fair opens. Only 4-Hers who are official, registered 4-H state fair participants are entitled to these tickets.  Volunteers and parents, etc. need to purchase tickets.  Tickets must be surrendered at the gate at the time of arrivial.  Remember, a gate ticket is needed daily to enter the fairgrounds.  A hand stamp (available at the gate) is required for persons leaving and re-entering the fairgrounds on the same day.  Contact Amber Runke at the Center for 4-H & Community Youth Development if additional tickets are needed. Counties will no longer sell pre-fair Discount tickets.

• Admission Tickets during the Fair = $11.00 for ages 13 - 64.  $9.00 for seniors age 65 & over, kids ages 5 - 12 are $8.00.  Kids under age 5 are free.
• Parking during the Fair = Parking is $9.00 or one additional Pre-Fair Discount Admission Ticket may be used for parking.

• Livestock exhibitors arriving on Wednesday and staying overnight will not receive a complimentary gate admission ticket because gate admission tickets are not needed until Thursday.
• If your 4-Hers are assigned to stay in Bailey Hall during livestock weekend, gate admission tickets are complimentary.  The county chaperones will pick up the gate admission tickets for the entire county delegation at the 4-H Bailey Hall desk each night.
• Off Grounds Housing - Housing for 4-Hers with livestock trips on 4-H Livestock Weekend is very tight.  In an attempt to ease this, 4-Hers with livestock trips are encouraged to stay with parents/guardians when possible.  4-Hers who stay in a hotel/motel or with friends/relatives in the metro area will get complimentary gate admission tickets to get into the fairgrounds each day.  These complimentary gate admission tickets are only available for livestock participants on 4-H Livestock Weekend.  This policy is NOT applicable for 4-Hers staying at home and commuting to the fair each day.  In order to qualify for these complimentary tickets, 4-Hers must fill out the "Livestock Weekend Off-Grounds Housing" form (4-H State Fair Form) completely.  Extension staff  must submit these forms at their designated state fair final registration time.  (Livestock exhibitors staying off grounds get additional gate admission tickets for each box they check on the form.  Their initial Thursday ticket is included in the "regular encampment" total.)
