Important Distinctions:
"Grow Green" refers to the
MN 4-H Goal to increase the number of youth involved in 4-H.
"4-H Get Green Night" is
a promotional event held during September. Sometimes “get
green” has been used as a tagline, as well. A tagline is
designed to define your product and inspire people who are not
already consumers to buy it. The results of the 4-H logo survey
question about taglines show that while overall, 47% responded
that “Get Green” inspires them, among people who have
never participated in 4-H, only 27% understand it or feel inspired
by it. For this reason, the 2005 promotional materials used “4-H
See your Potential” as the tagline. “Get Green”
is most appropriately used with the individuals who already “know
4-H.”

4-H Grow Green Contact Form and Response Labels
are an attempt to streamline contact with families and ensure
adequate follow up is occurring. The response labels are to
be used in conjunction with the 4-H Recruitment Card. The label
is 2” x 4” and uses an Avery Label 5963 which can
be placed on the back side of the recruitment card to track
follow up with families. The only difference in the labels are
one has lines for notes and the other does not. This is an alternative
to using the Grow Green Contact Form which is in table format.
