What is YELLO!?

June 9-12 at the 4-H Building on the Minnesota State Fairgrounds

Youth Exploring Leadership and Learning Outloud! (YELLO!) is an exciting and fun annual statewide leadership conference that brings together approximately 450 youth from across Minnesota to teach them valuable skills that they will be able to take back with them to their counties and use throughout their lives.

All youth who have completed grades 6-12 at the time of YELLO are invited. Membership in 4-H is not required, so invite your friends!

The YELLO! Registration fee of $190.00 fee includes all meals, snacks, lodging, activities, Night on the Town with transportation, a conference t-shirt, and supplies. Scholarships may be available through your local 4-H program.

Participants will:
• Meet and make new friends from across Minnesota.
• Learn from hands-on, experiential workshops.
• Hear from interesting keynote and featured speakers.
• Explore and discuss issues affecting youth in small and large groups.
• Gain new leadership and citizenship skills to bring back to your community.
• Work together with other youth and adults through service-learning activities.
• Have tons of fun!

Night on the Town is still being planned, but will include art, a chance to dance, great music and a bonfire. Watch the 4-H web page for more information.

May 16 is the state registration deadline. Check your county deadline, it will be sooner.

This lively session will set the stage for you to dive into the possibilities of 4-H, life, and leadership. You'll laugh, you'll cheer, you'll link and you'll start to feel the power you have to make a difference!!

Patty Hendrickson (La Crosse, WI) full-time professional speaker, is an expert in leadership development. She works with organizations that want to grow leaders and with people who want more out of life -- like you. Patty's high energy and interactive programs gently encourage you to take action.

Patty is the author of many books, including the inspirational book, now in its fifth printing called "Who I Am Depends on Me!” has a Masters of Business Administration; and is Past President of the National Speakers Association - Wisconsin Chapter. She is very proud of her business which continues to grow every year since 1987. Patty has earned the prestigious designation of Certified Speaking Professional, an honor given to less than 600 people in the world.

She is very happy to share with 4-H members because she believes in the organization. Patty is eager to tell you "I'm glad you're here!" Patty's energy inspires so her message sticks!

After graduating from Bluffton University with a BA and from Bowling Green State University with a Master’s degree, Judson Laipply burst onto the speaking scene and has quickly become a breath of fresh air in a sometimes-suffocating world. Combining an amazing ability to make people laugh and think, his presentations are down to earth and highly motivational, creative and appealing, humorous and thought provoking, lively and enriching.

Drawing from his vast array of experiences that include: working on a cruise ship, working at a camp in Colorado, being a certified Aerobics instructor, teaching college courses, being a published poet, part- time auctioneer, and weekly columnist; he can relate to almost any audience. Whether a specific program or a program designed to meet your specific needs, you can be sure you will be satisfied. Here are a few words from Judson:
