BLU - Building Leadership and Understanding
What is BLU?
Building Leadership and Understanding (BLU!) is an exciting and fun area leadership adventure that brings together over 500 youth from across Minnesota to help them learn and practice valuable skills that they will be able to take back with them to their counties and communities and use throughout their lives.

Who can attend?
All youth (non-4-H youth are encouraged to participate) who are currently enrolled in grades 6th – 12th and freshman in college. Registrations are contingent on appropriate chaperone coverage. The right is reserved to refuse registration if appropriate coverage is not provided. Refunds will occur if the registration is refused.
Define in 2010!
The 2010 BLU program will provide fun, activities, and ideas relating to the current focus of the State 4-H Program including diversity, outreach, team building, personal growth, leadership and self-expression. Participants will be challenged through large group activities and small groups will allow youth and adults to applying and reflecting on their experiences. As in the past, ample time will be allowed for building new friendships.

How much does it cost and how do I register?
The cost to register for BLU! is $80 for all participants and adult chaperones. This covers all meals, lodging, activities, and supplies. A conferences T-shirt will be available for an additional $12.00 if ordered at registration. A late fee of $10 per person will be added for registrations received after Tuesday, January 5, 2010. Registrations from each county must be accompanied with the chaperones name before the registration for participants will be accepted. Participants should contact their county Extension Office for local registration process and details.
