This exciting training is designed for those already judging county fair 4-H
livestock shows as well as those who would like to get started. The day will include: a focus on individual placing and ribbon distribution in classes common to county fair settings, State Fair line-ups and showmanship. There will also be a session emphasizing the youth development aspect of livestock judging. This session will include practical tips on working with kids in animal settings, fees, dress codes and other helpful ideas to prepare you for a county fair livestock judging experience.

Participants should plan to attend for the entire day. Registration begins at 9 am with the program beginning promptly at 9:30 am. Lunch will be provided. Evaluation and Departure are planned for 3:30 and 4 pm respectively. Those attending for a partial day will not be listed in the livestock judges list that will be prepared and forwarded to 4-H staff and county volunteers groups selecting county fair livestock judges.
