MN State Fair Rabbit Show Requirements

Getting Started In The
4-H Rabbit Project

  • Members must have owned, raised and kept a feed record prior to May 15 on the rabbit shown.
  • On a fryer or meat pen, the does producing the fryers must have been owned by the members since May 15.
  • No signs on pens will be permitted.
  • Each rabbit must be clearly and permanently tattooed in the left ear for identification purposes.
  • Tattoo definition: must show ink below skin and must be readable. NO PERMANENT MARKER OR INK IS ACCEPTABLE.
  • Ownership affidavit or lease agreement, must be submitted by  State Fair entry due date. Rabbits that do not meet I.D. requirements will receive no higher than a blue ribbon.
