FairPlus! upgrade 09-146

Released to Minnesota users July 20, 2009

  1. Added more fields to the Check Data Export routine, so that all data required to fully mail merge a check is now available.

  2. The Premiums Earned Report now offers the option to filter the report by Department

  3. Fixed the Leader's Registration report so that it correctly tallies meal tickets when printed from the state perspective

  4. Changed the data backup routines so that it no longer requires a blank disk - which formerly forced the user to delete all existing files on disk (which made sense for floppies, but not for flash drives).

  5. Data Export - one record per user now offers the option to only include the items in the selected classes

  6. Flipped Rt. Ear and Left Ear data on the Show Catalogs, to match ID forms and data entry screens

  7. Fixed the data checking on Required Livestock Data

  8. Added some error checking when creating an exhibitor from a club, to avoid "missing" clubs and or new members

FairPlus! upgrade 08-045

Released to Minnesota users March 24, 2008

  1. New Show Order report added - a report that lists classes and participants. A cross between a Show Catalog and a Call Sheet. Found at [Goto] [Call Sheets...] [Print Show Orders]

  2. New Shipping List report added - a simple listing of Livestock classes (as determined by Method) within a selected Department and includes relevant livestock data.

  3. It is now possible to "drill down" or search for an individual Item (based on various fields) on the following 3 screens - all found under [Goto] [Exhibitors / Items] [Item Utilities] 1)-[Change Item's Exhibitor] 2)-[Move Single Item to Another Class] 3)-[Copy Single Item to Another Class].

  4. Mailing and contact info is now available for non-exhibiting 4-H Members. This is available by clicking on [Goto] [Exhibitors/Items] [Exhibitors] [Non-Exhibiting 4-H Members]

  5. Quotation marks are no longer allowed in the Optional Info fields to avoid problems with exported data.

  6. An error message will now appear if the "Next Available Item Number" is an already existing Item Number (previously, the item would not be created, but the user had no indication why the failure).

  7. There is now a warning message if a user asks FairPlus! to fill the Rate of Gain Ending Weight field with the LS Measure 1 or vice versa.

  8. The ear notch fields (left and right) have been switched around to match the Ownership Affidavits and the Swine industry standard of considering the right ear notch before the left ear notch.

FairPlus! upgrade 07-199

Released to Minnesota users May 23, 2007

  1. Users now have the option to include (or not) the 4HPlus! Project Codes when printing the member's enrolled projects on the Fair Registration Form.

  2. Fixed a bug that sometimes kept Item Tag "Batch Printing" from proceeding the way it should.

  3. Modified the Back Tag report/assigning screen so that the possibility of accidently over-writing Back Tag numbers was reduced: added an "are you sure" message box before Back Tag numbers get re-assigned and changed the wording on the appropriate buttons.

  4. It is now possible to delete a group of items from a particular class by going into the [Livestock Processing] [Item Class Transfer / Build New Class] - selecting a class, then multi-selecting the items to be deleted and clicking the appropriate button.

  5. EID (Electronic (livestock) ID) has been added and appears on the Method, Livestock Measures and Rate of Gain Screens. FairPlus! will work with the EID electronic scanner. Additionally, on the LS Measures and ROG screens, an animal can be "looked up" based on their EID or Eartag number, regardless of which class they are in.

  6. The Dept. and Div. titles have been removed from the State Fair Participant Registration Form, allowing more room for long Class titles to be displayed.

  7. Added the option to change the Class Fee and State Fair fees to multiple classes at one time, via the [Fair Data] [Class Changes] screen.

  8. The Meals Report (run at the State Fair) can now filter out based on Encampment.

  9. The Class Fee can now be ignored upon item entry via a new parameter. This will make item entry for the State Dog and Horse Shows easier, since those classes involve a class fee.

  10. Fixed a bug that prevented some of the encampment housing reports from being printed at the local level.

  11. Added an option so that Back Tag numbers can be assigned "beginning" with a county of the user's choice, so that the same counties are not always first and the same ones are not always last.

FairPlus! upgrade 06-199

Released to Minnesota users July 18, 2006

  1. The Counts by Club report is now fixed - previously it only listed each Exhibitor one time, even if they had more than on item in the classes being counted.

FairPlus! upgrade 06-144

Released to Minnesota users June 1, 2006

  1. Account summaries and check stubs will now have a primary sort by class and a secondary sort by item number. Previously it was strictly item number.

  2. Added an "Abbreviated" Call Sheet - one line per item, but with no options to select the "included" data. This option is found on the [Includes] tab of the Call Sheet screen.

  3. Can now print fair registration forms for clubs

  4. Removed the Division data from Item tags and added Optional 1 data.

  5. Fixed a bug that was causing clubs to print incorrectly on item tags

  6. Set the default sorting order for Call Sheets to "Alpha/Ascending".

  7. Added a count to the Housing Reports used at State Fair

  8. Added a feature to the "Counts by Club" report so that it can serve as a good stalling report.

  9. Fixed a bug that was causing problems on the encampment totals screen at the state level - also made that screen multi-county.

  10. County generated item numbers will now be checked to make sure they match the county code

FairPlus! upgrade 05-194

Released to Minnesota users July 14, 2005

  1. Fixed a bug that allowed the creation of a new year even if the most current data set is not loaded.

  2. Changed the "County to State" data transmission process to now include all 10 Optional Info data fields.

FairPlus! upgrade 05-152

Released to Minnesota users June 2, 2005

  1. Fixed (again) the club resetting aspect of Data Removal

  2. Exhibitor lists now include the option of printing a report for selected individual names.

  3. The account summaries will now print additional pages if need be. The bottom of the last printed page now includes a signature block. The Item's class title is now included on the report.

  4. There is a new 'No posted Items in Class' report.

  5. There is a new 4H Member Non Exhibiting report.

  6. Removing last years premiums paid to counties in the dtSfco.db file has been added to a few of the Fair Clean levels.

  7. A problem of dropping the first letter off of the a club name when imported as a exhibitor in export reports has been fixed.

  8. Dept, Div, and class listing order has been sorted on the projects - class linking screen.

  9. A delete 'All Links' button has been added to the project linking screen. This only deletes the links for the project selected, but deletes them all at once if you have more than one.

  10. Project to class links that have been created will be removed if a Division is removed and links are found to any classes within the division. (As always, only if there are no items found in these classes)

  11. If the Division re-numbering routines are used and any project links are found to classes that will be changed because of the renumbering, will have their links changed automatically as well.

  12. It has been discovered that various exhibitor and / or class item indexes can be orphaned if, for example: a) A county fair transmits data to the state fair and it is processed. b) Then the county, using various Fairplus routines, changes the items class or the items exhibitor (yes, you can do that), or something along these lines, then c) the county fair transmits data again to the state fair and it is processed. This situation is now covered by adding a button on the state level fair data receiving screen that will verify all received data and remove any improper indexes. It is recommended (on the screen) that this only be done once, after receiving the last data transmission. (it does not hurt to do it more often, it is just time consuming).

  13. If 4H projects are entered into the fair (via FairPlus) as opposed to items, the system now will completely track the members year in project and print this number on the fair item tags. The entire FairPlus process of creating links between the class codes and 4H projects has been cleaned up a bit with more explanations placed on the screen.

  14. 4HPlus can now build a Fairplus support file that contains the minimum needed 4HPlus information to be used by Fairplus if it is processing the 4H members in the fair.

  15. Year in 4H project is now available (tag style one) for PROJECTS entered into the fair. Items entered into the fair, of course, do not have access to this information.

  16. The number of FairPlus classes that can be associated with any one 4H Project has been increased from 10 to 20.

  17. The number of times an individual 4H member's project can be entered into the fair as a project has been increased from 10 to 20.

  18. The Cash disbursement system will now allow you to issue the cash maximum amount to exhibitors even if their total earning exceed this amount. This means for course that the exhibitor may also be issued a check at the end of fair. In the past you could not issue cash to an exhibitor unless their total earnings were less than or equal to the maximum amount of the cash disbursement.

  19. The Fair Name can now only be set in one area (Distributed Data >> Setup). Any where else the name is displayed, it is 'Read Only'.

FairPlus! upgrade 05-090

Released to Minnesota users March 31, 2005

  1. Added a test on Required Livestock Data to check for specific breed data

  2. Added an option to sort animals in reverse DOB in the [Show Catalog] [Sorts] options

  3. The Class fee is now added in on the State Fair Participant Registration report.

  4. Added a class listing box to aid in selecting [Source] and [Destination] classes during [Livestock Processing] [Create New Class/Item Transfer]. In addition, the class title display box was made bigger

  5. On the class posting screen, you can now clone or copy an item (sans state fair setting and posting and awards) from the class you are posting to a new (championship for example) class.
    • When you copy to a new class the first time, the copied item will be given a new item number in the new class. If you copy the same item a second time (it has already been put in one class, but you want it in a different class) it will be moved out of the first class it was copied into and moved into the second selected class. It will be the same item number, it will just have it's class changed.

  6. Redesigned the [Date Export] Utility
    • Re-listed field selection boxes so that they correspond with the type of data being exported and the export method (i.e. when [Exhibitor Unique] is selected at the Data Export method, only those fields that can logically be exported are included).
    • Added an option to export a file with one record per exhibitor, and all their items in that record (includes the item number, the class code and class description).

  7. The daily password is now the new complex (6 digit) format, and is all upper cased.

  8. A call sheet can be produced directly from the [Posting by Class] screen displaying all posting for the class.

  9. [Data Removal] Option number 4, will now reset the clubs - so that they show up as 4-H Clubs>>4-H Exhibitors (potential fair exhibitors).

  10. Fixed a bug in the the [Goto] [Archive....] [Receive] [Via Email] process (when deleting the files after processing) where FairPlus! generated a couple of extra county data files and dumped them back into the [Dataxfer] folder.

  11. Fixed [Factory] Option number [10 - Reset SF Data....] now sets the [Statefair] field on the [Exib] data table to zero (or null), like it should.

  12. When deleting an exhibitor - [Goto] [Exhibitors/Items] [Exhibitors] [Individual (Normal Method)] - [Delete Exhibitor] button - the Exhibitor's corresponding record(s) in the [Fhou] data table  is also deleted.

  13. The Fair Data Report - [Goto] [Fair Data] [Prt Fr Data] - now prints out the correct data structure (ie Department, Division and Class

  14. The Registration Forms no longer include Achievements.
