Entering Fair Registrations into FairPlus!
4-H Exhibitors
As the completed registration forms start coming in, it's time to get the Member's items entered into FairPlus!, converting Members into Exhibitors.
There are three radio button options available, as follows:

Member >> 4H Exhibitor |
The number indicates the number of 4-H Members in your county When clicked, it lists all 4-H Members in your county |
Indicates and lists 4-H Members who have not been converted into 4-H Exhibitors |
| 4H
Club >> 4H Exhibitor |
The number indicates the number of 4-H Clubs in your county When clicked, it lists all the 4-H Clubs in your county |
Indicates and lists 4-H Clubs that have not been converted into 4-H Exhibitors |

4H Exhibitor An exhibitor is defined as any Member OR Club who has entered an item into the fair |
The number indicates the total number of 4-H Exhibitors, which will be ZERO prior to any items being entered into the fair When clicked it will indicate ZERO exhibitors |
Indicates and lists 4-H Exhibitors Increases as items are entered for members and clubs (and they are converted into Exhibitors) Member and Clubs will show up on the Exhibitor list after they have had an item entered into FairPlus! |

Before entering items into the fair, take a moment to check the five control buttons that are near the top in the middle of the screen The function of these buttons is as follows: |

...items entered will simply be entered into your county fair You will normally have this button set to [Off] |
...items entered will be entered as normal exhibits, but they will ALSO be flagged for the State Fair at the same time. This is for State Fair things that are not entered as county fair projects. This would include items like Share the Fun, Demonstrations, etc. Livestock items for the state fair will not be flagged for the State Fair even if this button is on - due to the data verification that must occur for livestock entries |

...item tags will NOT be printed for each item as they are entered into FairPlus! Instead, the item tag data will accumulate for printing (as a batch) at a later time |
...item tags will be printed for each item, as it is entered into FairPlus! Even with the button set to [On], Item tags will NOT be printed for class/lots included in the [No Item Tag] list. To see this list, click on [Goto] [Exhibitors / Items] [No Tag Cls/Lot] |

Back Tag |
...back tag numbers are not assigned as items are entered Back tag numbers can be assigned at a later time to those members who have items in class/lots you specify. For example, you could assign back tag numbers to exhibitors who have item(s) in a Livestock Class/Lots |
...back tag numbers can be assigned to each exhibitor when their first item is entered The user has the option of entering a back tag number for each exhibitor by clicking and typing in the [Back Tag] field

... you will be able to enter livestock items one after the other, without having to stop and fill in any "Required Livestock Information" that may be required by the Method Examples of Required Livestock Information includes the Animal's Date of Birth, Ear Tag Number, etc. |

Buttons can be turned Off and On by clicking on them - however to set the Default position (so that the button is pre-set to the desired setting upon coming into the Exhibitors screen), the Parameter setting must be changed. To change the parameter setting, click on [Goto] [Utilities] [Parameters]. Then click on the Parameter noted above and change the default setting as desired. |

Registering Fair Items
To enter a items into the fair,

It is recommended that you use the [Add New Items] button. An optional method of entering items is available by clicking on the [Enter Projects] button. The [Enter Projects] method of item entry allows users to register fair items based on a member's project enrollment. This is an advanced procedure, and in order to make it work, the Project>Class links must be established via [Goto] [Fair Data / Premiums] [4H Prj Links]. |
The screen that appears when you click on [Add New Items] allows you to select the class/lot code for the item to be entered into the fair.
This will bring up the list of possible Divisions in that Department
This will bring up the final box, a list of Classes available
At this point, the text boxes in the bottom left corner will display the Exhibitor's name and the selected item entry. If this is all OK,
The large list box in the lower right corner will list all the exhibitors who have an item in that Class.
OR
After items have been entered, it is possible to click on any [4H Exhibitor] and FairPlus! will display their items in the box located on the lower right part of the screen. After selecting any of the Exhibitor's items, you can add Optional or Livestock info by clicking on the [Optional Info] or [Livestock Info].
