Printing Fair Registration Forms
Printing the Forms
FairPlus! will print out registration forms that can be used by county 4-H members to register their items for the fair. The registration form lists all the projects that the member is currently enrolled in, according to 4HPlus! data (therefore make sure that any last minute project enrollment changes are accurate in 4HPlus!)
| NOTE: | The ability to print registration forms is not dependant upon the version or the data year loaded, therefore the forms can be printed at any point in time. |
To print the registration forms,
| NOTE: | Printing the Registration Forms has nothing to do with State Fair, it simply ended up on the State Fair screen. You can also find a menu command labeled [Reg Forms] on the [Exhibitors / Items] screen, but this menu item simply takes you to the State Fair Registration screen referenced above. |
In order to print Registration Forms:

| NOTE: | If your county is tracking Animal Science/Quality Assurance and Ethics training via the club, those "clubs" will appear in the list as well. However, the member will be listed with their Primary Club as well. |
The next step is to select which members (or clubs) will be included in the current print job.
The last step before printing is to customize the information being printed on each form.
The final step is to print:
| NOTE: | As mentioned, once the list of members is displayed, you can use a shift-click or a ctrl-click method to select members you want to print a registration form for. |

ALL That White Space
The most common remark made (upon printing a fair registration form) is about all the wasted white space near the top of the form, leaving fewer lines available for signing up fair items.
As some of you have guessed, the white space is there to accommodate the 4HPlus! project limit being raised to 60 projects. The "real" question is why can't that space be flexible to better fit the actual number of projects. The answer is that while it is possible, the programming involved in accomplishing that flexibility is too extensive to do at this time.
The programming is complex because in order to make the white space flexible, the number of registration lines also has to be flexible, and the project line spacing is different than the project listing line spacing. Plus, this all still has to accommodate the printing of the form's due date at the bottom, without ever printing more than one registration form for each member.
Hopefully a way will be found in the future so that this can be taken care of. In the meantime, some counties have decided to make their own registration lines/table, chop the top part of the form off, then use a copy machine to combine the two parts together. Another option is to instruct members to use the white space and/or the back of the registration form for more registration space.
