4HPlus! has the capability to track and sort out members who participate in Livestock Quality Assurance & Ethics Training

Storing LQA&E Training Data

The first step of course is to "inform" 4HPlus! of which members have participated. While it is possible to use either Clubs or Achievements, the currently recommended option is to use the "Local Fields" on the Member's registration screen as follows:

NOTE:

If Clubs or Achievements are used, each created Club and/or Achievement should be named to indicate both the year and the Level.

Right-click on the desired [Local Field] and name it [Level I]
Right-click on another [Local Field] and name it [Level II]
Right-click on another [Local Field] and name it [Level III]

Local Fields renaming

To enter training data, enter the year the level was achieved. It's recommended to only enter the last two digits of the year, to make SQL requests easier.

Running Reports

Once you have the data has been entered in the Local Fields (or the desired members enrolled in the appropriate Club or Achievement) you can then generate lists, labels, etc. to assist in managing this aspect of the 4-H Program.

NOTE:

The instructions below are based on entering data in Local Fields. If Clubs or Achievements were used, make adjustments to the instructions as needed.

To simply look for Members with certfication in a particular set of years, do the following:

Click on [Members] [SQL] [Request]
Choose the desired output (labels, report, etc.)
Click on the opening parenthesis button [Add ( ]
Click on on the check box for [Level I]
Click on [Equal To]
Type in the desired year (i.e. [08])
Press the [Tab] key
Click on [Or]
Click on on the check box for [Level I]
Click on [Equal To]
Type in the desired year (i.e. [07])
Press the [Tab] key
Repeat as desired to select additional levels or years
Click on the closing parenthesis button [Add ) ]

Selection criteria can be added, or click on [Process] to continue on.

NOTE:

If a report is desired that results in Members who are not certified, then substitute [Not Equal To] in place of [Equal To]
