4h4me.com - Full County Data Upload

The following processes should only be done by Regional staff

NOTE:

IT IS VERY IMPORTANT that you use Internet Explorer (IE) - not Firefox - as your browser when completing these operations.

4HPlus! simply uses whatever browser is defined as "Default" on your computer - therefore, if Firefox is your default browser you will need to temporarily make IE your default browser.

To do this, start up IE, click on Tools>Internet Options, then click on the "Programs" tab and click on the "Make Default" button. You can also set both IE and Firefox to check what your default browser is and give you an easy option to change that on browser startup.

Full County Data Upload

The steps on this page should only need to be done VERY infrequently - generally only at year-end or if data synchronization via the normal "update" process is not working.

Review Accumulated Changes on 4h4me.com

This step will look for any changes that have been made on the web.

Start up 4HPlus!
Click on [Goto] [Web (4h4me.com) Interactions] [Receive New 4h4me Data] [Get Data Changes from 4h4me.com]
This will log you onto the 4h4hme.com website
Click on the button [Build]
This will display the accumulated data changes
Click on [Download]
Save the file to the folder: [c:\ckv\WebXfer\] (replace the existing file if prompted to do so)
Exit out of the web browser, and return to 4HPlus! (which should still be running and should still be on the [Archive] screen)
Click on [Web (4h4me.com) Interactions] [Receive New 4h4me Data] [Process Data Changes from 4h4me.com]

You will then see a list of data changes that were made

Print a list of those changes.

Full Data Upload

The next step will upload all county data currently on 4HPlus! to the 4h4me.com web server, along with removing all data from 4h4me and clearing all upload and download records.

(Still in 4HPlus! - no need to restart from the above operation)
Click on [Full Uploads / Downloads] [Upload Full County Dataset]
Confirm the message box
Click on the [Continue] button, which will prompt you for the daily password.
Enter the Daily Password
(note: daily passwords are always available by going to: www.fourh.umn.edu/mgtsoftware/monthname.pdf - substituting the month desired as the .pdf file name)
Hit the [Tab] key on your keyboard
Click on [Build Full County Data Upload]
Click on [Upload Full County Data Set]

This will start up your web browser and take you to an internal page of the 4h4me.com website (see screenshot below). 4HPlus! and CKV Launcher should remain running in the background.

The 4h4me.com website will ask for your "data upload file" - the location is indicated on the web screen and is valid ONLY if 4HPlus! and CKV Launcher are still running.

Click on and select the path (text) listed in the [File to find:] field
Copy the selected text to your clipboard (Ctrl-C or right click and "copy")
Click in the [File to upload:] field and paste the selected text from the clipboard (Ctrl-V or right click and "paste")

NOTE:

There is currently a bug that is keeping the clipboard from working on this page. In the meantime, use the "Browse" feature to navigate to the c:\ckv\webxfer folder and select the specified file.

Click on the button to [Upload Data File Now]

Once the file is uploaded, the next button down will change to [Process]

NOTE:

VERY IMPORTANT - count to "15" or wait 15 seconds before proceeding to click the [Process] button.

Click on [Process]
Wait for processing to complete, as indicated by "refreshed" numbers in the [Before] and [After] boxes. Also, directly below the [Upload Data File Now] button will be text indicating [File processing completed].
Click on [Goodbye] to end the session

NOTE:

There will be a time delay as processing occurs. Please wait patiently until processing is completed. However, if the delay lasts longer than about 5 minutes, close the browswer window and repeat the process.
