Many of the steps on this page can be completed
by either County or Regional staff.
Please make sure that any work done, is in agreement with any
decisions made locally regarding staff roles

NOTE:

IT IS VERY IMPORTANT that you use Internet Explorer (IE) - not Firefox - as your browser when completing these operations.

4HPlus! simply uses whatever browser is defined as "Default" on your computer - therefore, if Firefox is your default browser you will need to temporarily make IE your default browser.

To do this, start up IE, click on Tools>Internet Options, then click on the "Programs" tab and click on the "Make Default" button. You can also set both IE and Firefox to check what your default browser is and give you an easy option to change that on browser startup.

Online Data

There is data stored on 4h4me that can only be changed by having the "key" - which in this case, is provided by 4HPlus!, meaning that any staff person with a copy of 4HPlus! can access the data and settings outlined on this page. These data changes are made outside of 4Hplus!, therefore there is no concern of county vs. regional copies of 4HPlus! data being an issue.

Data that can be maintained in this way include:

Club information (meeting time, meeting place, etc.)
Staff contact information (up to 3 per county)
Project, Club and Achievement access parameters
Enrollment/Re-enrollment access parameters
Field Visibility parameter

Entering or Reviewing Club Information

As prospective members consider membership, they are able to review information about clubs in their county. (Eventually, existing members will also be able to do this.) The following steps will allow staff to enter and maintain this club related data.

Click on [Goto] [Web (4h4me.com) Interactions] [4h4me Direct Access] [County Options Direct Access]

This will start up your web browser, taking you to an internal page of the 4h4me.com website.

Click on [Enter Club Web Information]
Click on the desired club on the left side of the screen
Enter the desired information in the fields
Click on [Submit Club Web Information]

Entering or Reviewing County Office Information

If the browser window is still open from the previous section:

In 4h4me.com - click [Return to Prior Screen]

If the browser window is NOT still open from the previous section:

In 4HPlus!, click on [Goto] [Web (4h4me.com) Interactions] [4h4me Direct Access] [County Options Direct Access] - this will start up your web browser, taking you to the County Options, internal page of the 4h4me.com website

Continuing on....

At various points throughout 4h4me.com, Members and Leaders are able to access contact information for more help.

Many of you have already entered this data, but it is a good idea to review/edit this information on a regular basis to reflect staff changes, etc. The contact information can only be entered or edited using a copy of 4HPlus!, as follows:

Click on [Goto] [Web (4h4me.com) Interactions] [4h4me Direct Access] [County Options Direct Access]

This will start up your web browser, taking you to an internal page of the 4h4me.com website.

Click on [Enter/Update County Office Information]
Enter the correct information in the fields
Click on [Submit]

Setting or Reviewing Project/Club/Achievement Access Parameters

If the browser window is still open from the previous section:

In 4h4me.com - click [Return to Prior Screen]

If the browser window is NOT still open from the previous section:

In 4HPlus!, click on [Goto] [Web (4h4me.com) Interactions] [4h4me Direct Access] [County Options Direct Access] - this will start up your web browser, taking you to the County Options, internal page of the 4h4me.com website

Continuing on....

Click on [Set Club / Project / Achievement Access Parameters]
On the resulting screen, check or uncheck all the "Allowed" boxes and set the [Minimum] and [Maximum] fields as desired.

The [Minimum] should stay at [1], as we probably don't want Members and Leaders removing "all" their clubs and projects. These settings do not impact anything in 4HPlus! or vice-versa.
The setting at the bottom of the screen determines which members show up on reports available to leaders. The first option (recommended) will list, for example, all the Dairy Project members in a county - the second option will only list the Dairy Project members in the Leader's own club. This example assumes that the Leader themself is enrolled in the Dairy Project, which is required to get a report of Dairy Project members in the first place.

IMPORTANT! Click on the [Submit Changes] for each section of changes
Click on [Goodbye] to end the session, if you are done - otherwise, continue to the next section of instructions.

Enrollment/Re-enrollment access parameters

If the browser window is still open from the previous section:

In 4h4me.com - click [Return to Prior Screen]

If the browser window is NOT still open from the previous section:

In 4HPlus!, click on [Goto] [Web (4h4me.com) Interactions] [4h4me Direct Access] [County Options Direct Access] - this will start up your web browser, taking you to the County Options, internal page of the 4h4me.com website

Continuing on....

Click on [County Level Parameters]
Check or Uncheck options as desired
Be sure to click on [Save Above Parameter Settings / Changes] to store your selection(s).

NOTE:

Deciding to "turn on" the ability for Members and Leaders to change their registration and/or accept new registrations should involve discussions with each county team.

At this point, for those teams who are ready to try this new feature, these settings (at right) are recommended.
