4HPlus! and FairPlus! Downloads

4HPlus! installation files

WARNING - Do not re-install 4HPlus! on a computer that currently has 4HPlus! installed on it - unless specifically directed to do so. Re-installing will remove one set of current data, and all archived data.

FairPlus! installation files

CKV Launcher installation file

The following two downloads are normally installed as part of the above installation packages, and are normally used only in troubleshooting situations. Installation is not recommended without direct instruction to do so.

BDE program:

The BDE program, (Borland Database Engine) is required for both 4HPlus! and FairPlus!. It must be installed on every computer that runs 4HPlus! or FairPlus!, regardless of whether the 4HPlus! or FairPlus! is installed to the hard drive, a file server, or used in a peer-to-peer networking environment.

Once the install package has been downloaded, double-click on the file "BDE50.exe".
This will start the unzipping process, click on "unzip" to continue
Let the program unzip and install according to the defaults indicated

SUMMARY
-------

Install apps as admin. Run Command Prompt as admin to successfully
run ckv_install. To do this, right-click on the app or shortcut and
select "Run As..." from the pop-up menu.

PREREQUISITES
-------------

-install 4-H SW (mn4hsy.exe) as admin
-install FairPlus SW (mncfsy.exe) as admin
-install CKV Launcher (ckvl.exe) as admin, IF used in Regional Centers
-copy "good" data into place (either entire CKV folder or ckv\4hplus\mn and/or ckv\fairplus\mn

PROCEDURE
---------
1. run fairplus as admin
2. run 4hplus as admin
3. Copy ckv_install.bat to c:\
4. open Command Prompt as admin. Command Prompt shortcut located in:

Start Menu -> All Programs -> Accessories

5. Commands (no quotes):
- "cd c:\"
- "ckv_install"

You now should be able to run CKV SW without admin privileges.
