| Additional Information: | The Buffalo Jaycee Shooting Sports Program will be hosting the 2008 Minnesota Jaycee State BB Gun Match on Saturday April 26th. The Match will be held in the Discovery School Gymnasium just two blocks northeast of downtown Buffalo. All BB gun teams in Minnesota are invited to participate in this annual event. Pre-registration is required. The Match will be run according to the NRA 5 meter BB Gun Rule book and other rules used during the Annual International BB Gun Championship Matches (IBBGCM) sponsored by Daisy Mfg. and the U.S. Jaycees. – Competitors must be between the ages of 8 and 15 (youth who will have their 16th birthday during 2008 are ineligible). Gun Check-in will begin at 8:00 AM followed immediately with sight-in time and then the written test (on gun safety) and four position shooting competition. The match consist of 4 positions, prone, standing, sitting, & kneeling. The coach may be on line & help the participant with his sight adjustments etc. The alternates with shoot & test the same as regular team members. An awards ceremony will take place by mid to late afternoon. The top three competitors will be recognized in two age categories for each of the four shooting positions and the top three aggregate scores. The top alternates and the top three teams will also receive awards. (Teams consist of 5 shooters and may include 2 alternates. – All 7 shooters take the same test and shoot competition targets from four positions.) Sponsoring organizations may register more than one team or may register individual shooters. Traditionally the top three teams in each State Championship Match receive an invitation from Daisy Mfg. & the U.S. Jaycees to compete in the annual IBBGCM. This year that match will be held in Bowling Green, Kentucky from July 4 - July 6.
