Minnesota 4-H Shooting Sports/Wildlife

Congratulations to Jon Zinnel and Elise Schlueter on being selected
as National Shooting Sports Ambassadors!

Jon and Elise were officially selected by the National 4-H Shooting Sports
Program Committee after attending Nationals as candidates for the program.
The selection process occurred in conjunction with Nationals and included
completion of personal Interviews, public presentations, attending and
conducting training sessions, and evaluations. Jon and Elise were evaluated
on knowledge of Shooting Sports, overall 4-H participation, leadership,
community service, Shooting Sports participation, and leadership & community
involvement outside of 4-H.

Selected as National Ambassadors, Jon and Elise are now responsible for
representing 4-H and 4-H Shooting Sports at special events, with the general
public, peer groups, 4-H groups, community service groups, schools and media
contacts. They will serve as spokespersons for the 4-H Shooting Sports
program nationally and state-wide, as well as within their specific
county/regions. This program will further develop their skills in
leadership, public presentation, citizenship, community service, public
relations and team building. They plan to expand their involvement in 4-H
Shooting Sports, staying actively connected with the program as they enter
their collegiate years and beyond.
