What is the DTV transition?
At midnight on June 12th, 2009 television stations across the United States changed from broadcasting in analog to digital broadcasting. This transition will provide you a clearer picture and more programming options, and provide emergency personnel more airwaves to use.You will have three options to prepare for this transition: You can keep your analog TV and buy a converter box, Pay for cable, satellite or another TV service, or Buy a new TV with a digital tuner.
Find a DTV Team in Your Area
To find a DTV team in your area, click on the DTV Team Map link and then click on the red dot in your county. If your county does not have a team, the link on the bootom of the page will direct you to a person who can connect you with someone in your county.

On July 28, 2008 the Washington County 4-H DTV Team attended a DTV media event in the Twin Cities where they met Secretary of Commerce Carlos Gutierrez who was here to discuss the digital television transition and thank 4-H for our involvment with this project.
